TipSoft
TipSoft is another tool that will allow students, faculty & staff to submit secure and anonymous tips to law enforcement at the University of Virginia.
There are currently 2 ways to submit a tip:
- Via the web
- SMS Text message (instructions below)
Instructions for TipSoft SMS Text Message
- Text your tip to 274637 (crimes)
- In the message type UVATIPS followed by your tip.
- If you wish to remain anonymous do not include your name or contact info.
With your Tip, YOU CAN:
- Submit as much or as little information as you would like
- Upload photos to the Police
- Include your location or crime location
- Help keep your community safe
