Casey Acord
The Investigations Lieutenant oversees our team of Investigators and their case management. UPD investigators are specially trained to investigate crimes against persons, property crimes, as well as white collar crimes. They also work closely with the University’s Threat Assessment team as well as the University’s Title IX office assisting with their respective investigative work.

Ms. Lawson serves as the Student Engagement Coordinator.

Lt. Porter serves the Field Services Bureau as Daylight Patrol Lieutenant.
James Bunch
Lt. James Bunch supports the Field Services Bureau as Midnight Patrol Lieutenant.
Ben Rexrode
The Victim/Witness Assistance Program Coordinator works closely with community members who have been impacted by crime to ensure they are supported, assisted throughout the criminal process, and are aware of all the resources available to them in our community.
Dan Stuart
The COPS Lieutenant oversees a team of two Sergeants and currently two officers that work on the UVA Corner. We work with the businesses to address issues that arise, work with the student community in educating them about laws concerning alcohol and ID’s, and work with local law enforcement to prevent and investigate crimes.
