UVA Ready Mobile Safety App

UVA's mobile safety App, UVA Ready, allows UVA students, faculty, and staff to text concerns and tips to UVA Police. We also have a variety of other resources for the UVA Community including maps of Grounds, parking and transportation information, and emergency procedures for different situations.

TipSubmit

TipSubmit is available to any member of the public to submit secure and anonymous tips to University Police. Tips can be submitted either via the web or SMS text message.  

Instructions for TipSubmit SMS Text Message

  • Text your tip to 274637 (crimes)
  • In the message type UVATIPS followed by your tip.
  • If you wish to remain anonymous, do not include your name or contact info.

 

With Your Tip, You Can: 

  • Avert threats and solve crimes
  • Submit as much or as little information as you would like
  • Upload photos to the police
  • Include your location or crime location
